The following terms and conditions apply to this website. In order to use the site, you must accept these terms without exception. The Wine Brother is the brand name representing the website in question.

The purpose of this AI-assisted voice robot is to provide information and inspiration about the wines in the Alko range.

Viiniveli is an information channel for alcoholic beverages where the visitor is enlightened about the products in the Alko range, sometimes with selected tips. The site also serves as a tool to make it easier to order products from Alko’s subscription range.

The site’s content on alcoholic beverages is aimed at you if you are over 18 years old.

By signing up to our newsletter register you agree to receive newsletters from Viiniveli and their partners. The contact details you leave may be used by Viiniveli and their partners for marketing purposes. You can unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time.

The website is hosted on a Siteground hosting service. Webseller OÜ is responsible for the technical operation of the website.

Newsletter subscriber data and its storage

The controller of the newsletter subscriber register is CISA Oy. On behalf of the controller, the data is processed by Charlie OÜ (Tallinn, Estonia), which provides the newsletter delivery system.

The register stores the email address, an optional name, the time and method of confirming the subscription, the consent text accepted at the time of subscribing, and the age confirmation. In addition, entries describing subscriber interests are stored — for example, which recipe topics the subscriber is interested in.

The data is stored on servers located in the EU: the subscriber register in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (DigitalOcean) and email delivery in Helsinki, Finland (Hetzner). Data is not transferred outside the EU or the EEA.

We do not track email opens or link clicks. Our messages contain no tracking pixels, and links in the messages are not rewritten for tracking.

If you have given consent to marketing cookies on the site, we additionally store information about which recipe pages you have viewed, so that we can send you related recipe and wine recommendations. This information is kept for a maximum of 90 days. Without marketing consent this information is not collected. You can withdraw the consent at any time from the cookie settings of the site.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link at the end of every message.

We have taken into account the requirements of the EU Data Protection Regulation applicable as of 25 May 2018 in the processing of personal data.

Personal data are processed only by those employees of Viiniveli Oy whose job duties require access to the data in question. All staff are trained to handle personal data appropriately and to maintain data security.

In addition to our own employees, we use trusted contractors to whom data is only transferred when necessary. All partners are committed to complying with the EU Data Protection Regulation.

We will only transfer data to third parties if it is necessary for the implementation of the above mentioned activities. All third parties are commonly used and trusted entities that are committed to complying with the European Data Protection Regulation and applicable laws.
